Opus North, backed by Fiera Real Estate (“Fiera”) has secured full occupancy at its flagship office development on King Street in Leeds, with the final floor of the 54,000 sq ft building now let to Childerstone Project Management and PKF Littlejohn LLP.
Acquired through Fiera’s value-add series and developed by operating partner, Opus North, the building has undergone a radical transformation to deliver one of the most significant office schemes in Leeds in recent years. The development of the site included a striking new façade, the complete replacement of the fifth and sixth floors, the creation of a 600 sq ft sky lounge with flexible multi-use space, and a 4,000 sq ft roof garden with 360-degree panoramic views.
Fiera and Opus North placed sustainability and wellbeing at the heart of the redevelopment. The scheme was awarded with a BREEAM Excellent rating, the second most prestigious score available, which placed it in the top 10% of buildings for best practice. Most notably the redevelopment achieved exceptionally low embodied carbon through the substantial re-use of existing structure and materials, making this an exemplar low carbon development.
